Children's Services

Council operates five different types of children's childcare services.

Long Day Care

Long Day Care centres cater for children aged six weeks to six years, 52 weeks of the year. Council has centres at Caringbah, Cronulla, Engadine, Illawong, Jannali, Kirrawee, Menai, Sutherland, Sylvania and Woolooware.  >>More about Long Day Care

Family Day Care

Family Day Care caters for children aged six weeks to six years and is designed to assist working parents. Children are cared for in small groups in homes of carefully selected caregivers.  >>More about Family Day Care

Vacation Care

Vacation Care caters for primary school children aged five years to twelve years. Council operates five centres in major school holidays, at Sutherland, Loftus, Menai, Caringbah and Miranda (location subject to change).  >>More about Vacation Care

Out of School Hours Care

Council operates one Out of School Hours Care service - "MOOSH" at Miranda. The centre caters for primary school children, mainly from Miranda Public and Star of the Sea Miranda schools.   >>More about Out of School Hours Care 

Training

Sutherland Shire Council's Registered Training organisation (RTO) delivers nationally recognised training and non-accredited training in children's services to meet the needs of council, the community, parents, employers and interested individuals.  >>More about training

Waiting List and Terms and Conditions

Ensure you read the terms and conditions before placing your child's name on a waiting list for long day care or family care.
